About us
Global Runners is an independent initiative founded in 2020 for everyone who loves to run, walk, move, improve and, above all, share that energy with others, whatever their level.
From the start, Global Runners has been a group of enthusiasts brought together by a simple wish: to make sport a source of connection, motivation and shared momentum. Here, it is not about comparing or judging ourselves, but about encouraging and inspiring each other and moving forward together.
The idea grew out of two experiences of its founder, Charlotte Cordier. Taking part in the Wings for Life World Run, she was struck to see runners starting at the very same moment all over the world: a connection beyond borders, simply extraordinary. Then in Paris, she joined groups organising running outings, often with many people from abroad. At 7 a.m., even in winter, running became the best possible motivation to show the city to those who came from elsewhere.
Throughout the year, Global Runners organises and shares sports meet-ups, outings, training sessions, experiences, tips and tests, in an open and friendly spirit.
But Global Runners goes further.
The project is also about respecting the places where we run. Running in nature is a privilege. Protecting it is a responsibility. Step by step, Global Runners is developing actions and events to raise awareness of keeping natural spaces clean and of the impact we have on the environment.
Today, Global Runners is an independent initiative driven by the wish to create something positive, meaningful and connected around sport. The project is meant to grow and bring people together: if Global Runners succeeds in gathering and motivating many people, the goal is to turn it into a foundation.
Every member is invited to take part, suggest ideas, share and keep this momentum alive.
Running together. Respecting what surrounds us. Building something bigger than ourselves.
Welcome to Global Runners!
Happy running!
Sporting regards,
Global Runners
