Article 1. In short
The globalrunners.org website sets no cookies: no advertising cookies, no audience measurement cookies, no technical cookies. We do not track you from one website to another and we do not sell any data. That is why no window asks you to accept cookies when you arrive.
Article 2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file saved on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a website. Equivalent technologies, such as the browser's local storage, follow the same rules.
In France, Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the guidelines of the CNIL require your prior consent for any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the website to work. In Switzerland, Article 45c of the Telecommunications Act and the FADP require that you be informed of their use and be able to refuse them.
Article 3. Social networks and external websites
The website contains no share buttons and no embedded content from social networks: the Facebook, Instagram and TikTok icons are simple links. These services only set cookies if you click and open their pages, according to their own rules:
The same applies to the websites of race organisers and charities that we link to.
Article 4. How to refuse or delete cookies
You can block or delete cookies from other websites at any time in your browser settings: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
Article 5. Changes to this policy
If we ever add an audience measurement tool or a third-party service that sets non-essential cookies, this page will be updated and your consent will be requested before any cookie is set, with the option to refuse as easily as to accept.
